Drawing inspiration

So, I have met quite a few talented artist lately, through different media, and by chance encounters at the comic shop etc. And a few of them have asked me to toss them a few pages their way. I am a bit afraid to through some of my more Ennis-ish stuff towards them, in fear of scaring them off but then also afraid if I write them a fucking Lassie comic they may feel that wasn't what they were looking for in the Punisher-clad lad from the store.

I believe that I am just going to have to shoot them e mails and confirm with them their reading styles and/or art styles before any of my writing scares them off. What do any of you.... yes I now have a second follow.... grats BUBBA SHELLY!!! have to say about that?

  1. if you scare them away then they are not the artist for you. Give them what you think will sell and what you are passionate about. I would be more worried of somebody stealing the idea then scaring them the artist of.

I believe working on a comic that you are not passionate about only make the comic suffer because you don't have drive to but everything you have into it.

  2. I guess I'm pretty late to the comment section on this one lol - but as follower #2 I guess I should chime in.

I agree with what Berek said. If they don't share your passion they won't be a good match and the work won't be as great as it could be.
